Unfortunately some installers aren't aware of this, and quite often is the case that it gets covered by the wall. Window/Wall Systems will most often contain model number information located on the side of the unit.
Make sure the unit is not operating while you remove the cover, and check your owners manual if you are unsure of how to remove it. Cassette units will most likely be located on the panel behind the filter cover/holder. For split system types, the model number is most commonly located on the bottom edge or side of the unit. Outdoor unit information should again be on a sticker located on the side or back of the unit. Split/Cassette Systems are very similar to ducted systems, but the indoor unit should be visible either on a wall (known as split system) or in the ceiling (known as cassette system). Depending on the manufacturer/model it may be possible to cross reference the indoor unit information from the outdoor model number. It will also have a sticker with model information on it. The inside or 'indoor unit' being in the roof cavity may be difficult for most people to get to. Sometimes though it may be on the back, which could be difficult to read without a mirror if it is closely located to a wall. The outside or 'outdoor unit' will normally have a sticker with the model information located on the side.
One located outside of the house/building, the other inside the roof cavity. There are three main types of airconditioner systems:ĭucted Systems will consist usually of two separate units. Thank you.The location of model number information for airconditioners can vary greatly upon manufacturer, model and type of system. Overall, another positive experience with Joe and AGW. Great! Most businesses shy away from that level of transparency but this is convenient for the customer and gave me confidence that the business has nothing to hide. I also like that when you call up AGW to book the job the automated message while you wait advises you of the fees. Individuals who work fast for the client understand they’ll get far more revenue from working honestly because of the likelihood of return business as opposed to screwing the client for every cent on one single occasion.
Not so with Joe despite some minor complications with my dishwasher he devised a fix in no time at all. When you’re getting billed based on time there’s always a nagging suspicion technicians are on the go-slow. Joe is an expert in his trade and thoroughly professional. I specifically requested the same technician attend because I had a positive memory of my experience 18mths ago. This is the second time I’ve used AGW for appliance repairs.
Thoroughly professional service from Joe and the AGW team
